Criminal Case lodged against GP Executive Officer due to tampering of GP Records.

A Criminal Case lodged by Konark Police against Former GP Executive Officer of Mahalpada GP of Gop Block  Ajoy Kumar Seth  as he has tammpered GP Records.

It should be informed that Mr. Rabindranath Nayak of Mahalpada GP had applied for some information at Mahalpada GP office u/s 6 (1) of RTI Act-2005. But the concerned PIO denied to provide information to him & after Applicant Mr.Nayak made complaint before Orissa State Information Commission .

The State Information Commission penalised the PIO of Rs.25000/- & directed to provide information to the applicant as earliest . After getting these informations it was found that a number of documents have been tampered by the concerned PIO cum Executive officer Mr.Ajoy Kumar Seth to avoid the previous corruption done by him.

Mr. Nayak filed an FIR at Konark Police Station on 16.04.2008 but Police did not take any action. So Mr.Nayak asked for some info regarding the status of his FIR u/s 6(1) of RTI Act to the PIO ,Office of the DG of Police on 5.05.2008.

After the same on 04.06.2008 Konark police lodged a criminal case against Ajoy Kumar Seth, Former GP Executive Officer of Mahalpada GP (Case No-69/2008—u/s 167,426,466 IPC).

The RTI Application made police active to lodge this case after 50 days of FIR receipt.
